AZR Alloy is created with a special three stage thermal treatment process. The new AZR alloy gives the hitter a more responsive feel due to a change at the molecular level, giving the Cat 9’s alloy more performance and more durability than the previous model. Longitudinal Groove System – Marucci’s LGS a series of grooves that run horizontally over the thickest section of the barrel, reducing weight, adding flexibility, and increasing performance. Multi-variable wall construction gives the Cat 9 a larger sweet spot than other aluminum bats, and a thinner more forgiving barrel. 2nd Generation AV2 Knob is a 5 piece system unlike anything else on the market to help stop sting and vibration felt in the hands.
